The bed was huge and very comfortable, and the shower was hot. The room was spacious, and everything was clean. The central station is 10 or 15 minutes walk away, or a very short subway trip. I don't generally avail of daily housekeeping when I am on holidays anyway, but I thought it was clever the way the hotel offers vouchers to redeem at the bar for those content not to have towels refreshed daily, etc. It's win-win in terms of reducing workloads on housekeeping staff and offering customers something they might prefer. The staff were fantastic and I would have to single out Frau Gashke at the reception, who was very helpful, kind and patient. Thank you!!

The room was incredible as was the view. the staff were amazing especially boris and all his colleagues! They were super friendly and eager to help with anything i needed. I was there for medical treatment and at times very very sick and they were so thoughtful and helpful, i appreciated it immensely! They also are currently storing my luggage in their storage room before i return there. The bar staff and food stuff were great too, as was the quality of the foods and drinks! I would recommend this place to anyone!!

The rooms towards the busy street side are also quiet Breakfast is a bit overpriced, but otherwise plenty of choice with enough space in the breakfast room. The value for money without breakfast included was good. The staff in general was friendly but with one exception. The location is okay and still in the centrum . Two stops by underground streetcar from Central Station Essen or a 20 min walk . Stop is beside Hotel

The room was very clean. Very comfortabel bed, clean towels, coffee machine, tv in the room, view to the patio. The breakfast was very very good, with lots of varieties. The personal of the hotel is nice and welcoming, smiling. It felt like they care about you and try to help anytime you need. Small details like products to clean shoes, laundry bag and you can have your clothes washed if needed. Underground parking. Proximity to the city centre and shops/restaurants.

Helpful staff, who allowed me to print out several train tickets when I needed to process a reclaim. Not far from central Essen sights like cathedral and former synagogue. Tram station a couple of minutes' walk away with direct trams to Zeche Zollverein. Good value, at least in winter.
